Ten guys
and a campfire. That's how it all began. Little did I
know that what initially seemed like an introduction to a
new project would become an amazingly open discussion
about what it's like to be a young man in today's
society. We didn't all agree on everything, but there was
no animosity or ego stroking. Everything everyone said
was extremely honest, and almost nobody seemed
uncomfortable sharing their experiences or opinions with
the rest of the group. At first I was shy about talking
with this group, but I opened up after a while. All of us
in the group have had different experiences, and it's
very important to realize that they are all valid, and we
all suffer the different stereotypes. This was easily the
most positive aspect of the whole conference for
me.
