We're takin a look at a resume. What should go where, and all that stuff. Check the image, and read the text below to discover what all those labels are.

1. Your name goes here. First and last. Don't put "Mr" or "Ms" cause that is old school. and you're young. and hip. just your name.

2. Your address and phone number and email address goes here. they don't need to know your neighbour's mother's brother's phone number, one day time number, and one night time number will suffice.

3. Education. get some, list it here. just like the job experience section (see #4) it should be listed starting with the most current. If you are a highschool student, and haven't graduated yet, here may be a good spot to talk about any specific courses that may have taught you skills for the workplace. example? applying for the local photomat, put down that photography course you took.

4. ahh work experience. the meat of a resume. mmm meat. okay so, once again, start with the most current job at the top. if you haven't had that many jobs, you should include stuff like babysitting, or the time you took care of your neighbour's house when they were away (home maintenance for travelling professional) HOWEVER, if you're like me, and have had 4 or 5 "real" jobs, don't bother putting down the time you sold chocolates for your school.

5. when you're listing your job, put down where it was (city, province, country)

6. when listing your job, start with the dates you worked there. then put the job title. then put a brief description.

that's it. have fun with your resume, boring people end up at the bottom of the pile, but people with a cool looking, well layed out resume usually get looked at first. good luck!
