This summer, life-sized moose can be found on nearly every street in Toronto. For many Torontotonians this is their first sighting. The exhibit is so popular that some admirers have been vandalizing the poor animals and poaching their antlers. One man was arrested when police found him strolling down Front St. with four moose antlers under his arm. Toronto Mayor Mel Lastman, enraged by the conduct, is begging people to "stop molesting the moose" and has set up a 24 hour phone hotline. The controversy at city hall continues over why all 300 of the moose are male. Maybe the antler thieves are just trying to get a litte equality.
