Myths and Steretypes NEWFOUNDLAND

Myth: Newfoundland and Labrador is a Maritime Province.

Reality: Although the term "Maritime" means "by the sea," Newfoundland and Labrador is actually an Atlantic province. The provinces of New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia are the three Maritime provinces. These three, plus Newfoundland and Labrador, make up the Atlantic Provinces of Canada.
