So you're not convinced that the Asia Pacific region affects you.Have you tasted the cuisine or worn clothing that came from the area? Have you listened to music, watched T.V. or surfed the net using equipment manufactured in Asia? Have you ever considered teaching English abroad?
Asia affects us more than most of us think. Many of the sporting goods and electronic equipment we enjoy is manufactured in this region and imported to Canada. Take a look around your classroom or house and see which goods you rely on daily and how many of those originate from Asia. You'll be surprised at how many you find!
Asia is one of the most popular travel and work destinations for university graduates. Why has the Asia Pacific region become so popular? Because there are lots of jobs available in Asia. This phenomenon came about due to the expansion of its industry and trade. Job opportunities for those looking for international experience also increased. Today, one can expect to find employment in everything from teaching to hotel management to international stock broking. But this is not to say that the only reason someone might want to travel to Asia is to advance themselves in their area or interest work.
Also true is that Asians are discovering Canada. If you speak Japanese, it's easy to find a job on the Main Street in Banff, helping the tourist industry serve Japanese tourists.
The Asia Pacific region is one of the most beautiful and natural areas in the world. From its lush green forests to its tropical and enchanting islands, the the Asia Pacific region is one of the most relaxing and exciting places to visit.
