Discussion:
Materials Required: paper, pens
Time Needed: 40 - 45 minutes
Scenario: You have just spent an entire day learning interesting information and cultural facts on a number of countries that were otherwise remote and foreign to you. You question why you have not learned of them before in school, and consider what you can do to remedy the apparent lack of cross - cultural information available to you. What can you do?
Objective:
To recognize that there is a significant amount of information available on a wide range of countries, that is unique, interesting and important, yet widely inaccessible to students within the classroom.
Recommendation:
As students, we have come to recognise the importance of learning about the cultures native to the Asia Pacific region. Because this information is not currently available to us within the classroom, we recommend that an amendment is made to curriculum which incorporates studies that will include, geography, history, government, economics and the current affairs of those countries within the Asia Pacific region.
