Panel 6: Your Future in the Global Community

Objective:
To exposure the delegates to various career opportunities as they relate to Canada and Asia.

To encourage the involvement of Crown Corporations and Private Enterprises to help improve the standard of life and human dignity, and to foster Canada’s firm stance on human rights.

To organize a local youth club that would meet once a week to discuss current issues. The group could also meet with editors from the local news source to further discuss issues with the end goal being to increase objectivity within the media organization.

To have more speakers from the Asia Pacific region relay to us the realities and issues of their country.

To simulate global and regional organizations such as model UN and APEC Assemblies, to help students understand what the global community is, and how different organizations operate within it.

To help employees of companies involved in overseas partnerships become more culturally aware by holding workshops that involve the exchange of technology so that both parties benefit.

To provide information on career options and opportunities existing in the Asia Pacific region, by encouraging cross-cultural communication exercises and programs in schools. Our future is in the Pacific Century; we deserve the opportunities to access our future options.
