(The hardest thing to do is write about yourself...)
Well here it goes. I'm a French-speaking Canadian--usually, though not at university-- from Grand Falls, New Brunswick and I have just completed my Bachelor degree in Commerce at Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB. I'm really excited to be working with The Students Commission on the Asia Connects Youth Conference where I am trying to co-ordinate the New Brunswick side of things with a lot of help from Stephane. In 1992, I had the pleasure of participating at the Students Commission in Ottawa where I met great people (Hi! Denise) and gained some insight on what young Canadians want and what they think. Hopwfully, I'll be able to use my past experiences with the Commission to make the New Brunswick multisite a great experience for its participants.
My extra-curricular activities during university include being member of the Commerce Socity and being involved in the intramural sports program on campus. In my spare time (even t hought I haven't had much of that in the last few months...), I like listening to music (Amanda Marshall, Blue Rodeo, Great Big Sea), reading and travelling (I will get to Europe one of these days!) I also enjoy cooking and eating the results (anything from the grill or my grandmother's kitchen), watching T.V. (X-files, Days of Our Lives, Law & Order, A&E's Biography) and playing sports (volleyball, badminton, softball).

Well, on the more serious side of things, I am originally from Moncton, NB , but I have been considering Fredericton "home" for the past 8 years. I completed my Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Brunswick back in 1993, with psychology as my major. My interests lie in both social sciences and education, so eventually I hope to get my BEd or my certificate in TESL (teaching english as a second language). In January 1997, I went to teach in South Korea. This is what brought me to Students Commission, or they to me, not sure which. My involvement with Asia Connects has been a fairly recent thing, having hooked up with the "team" only on September 1st, 1997, but already I have gotten caught up in the excitement that this project is exuding. My own excitement stems from the idea that Asia Connects is a great tool for informing Canadian youths of the great opportunities that exist in Asia.
Now for the "down-but-up side" of me... I love to travel - anywhere - does not matter! I spend most of my time outdoors: camping, canoeing, hiking, biking, skydiving (twice) and whitewater rafting. The list can go on, but I won't bore you with ALL the details of my life. My motto is "enjoy life - you only got one!" See ya on the chats!
