Genevieve has just gradulated from university in MontrÈal with a bachelors degree in Marketing and Finance. She is very involved in AIESEC (an international business student association) as President and Vice-President of Marketing. She has direct knowledge of Asia as she spent a year in Japan, Nagoya after her first year of University, and did a market study for the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada in Seoul, South Korea. Genvieve also has experience working in the marketing department of a printing company. It is all these experiences that has led Genevieve to be very interested in market relations between Canada and Asia, and the differences of culture. They have also made here an incredible asset to the TG Magazine team! Genvieve hopes that the experience of Asia Connects and Canada's Year of Asia Pacific will encourage more Canadian students to go to Asia to work and experience the culture.
France Thiboutot France was born in La Malbaie in Charlevoix. She was still very young when her parents moved to St-Pamphile close to the American border. After having lived her adolescence in this small community, she left to study in Quebec. She quit her studies to join the artistic skating group Holiday on Ice. During these two years, she traveled throughout Europe and Asia. Strongly desiring to continue her studies, France returned to Quebec. In order to further her knowledge of different cultures, Anthropology became her study of focus. France holds a Master's degree. For her Master's thesis, France spent four months in Thailand. She is very excited to be helping to make the Asia Connects/ Cherchons l'Asie conference a reality, and to be helping people learn about Asia. She would like to have a career dedicated to Asia.
