Greetings all!!
This is Darroch, Youth Intern for Newfoundland, and 1/3 of the NEWFOUNDLAND CREWE. I am extremely excited about the upcoming conference. Should be an awesome virtual time!
I am originally from the community of Port aux Basques, on the southwestern tip of NF. (For those of you who have ever come to Newfoundland by sea, the ferry docks in Port aux Basques).
I am presently a resident of St. John's, where I attend Memorial University of Newfoundland. This is my second year studying towards a degree in Dietetics. My extracurricular activities in St. John's include volunteering at the Waterford Hospital, and participating in the Memorial University Student Ambassador program. I am also serving my second term as the Allied Youth International Alumni President, and was recently elected to Memorial University's Student Union as Science Representative.
This summer should be a busy one for me! The only problem will be finding time to sleep between my Asia Pacific Intern duties and taking part in CABOT 500 celebrations (READ: a wicked big party)!! I invite all Asia Connects participants, personnel and staff to visit the rock for what will be an amazing summer!! (I'm sure we'll be able to find sleeping arrangements for you all somewhere!)
I look forward to meeting you all (in some form or another). Best wishes to all sites for successful conferences right across Canada. We'll be in touch!!

She is currently working on her Masters Degree in Literacy Education and has big plans for making use of the Internet in future education programs. With her educational background and her easy way with making herself understood, the Internet will be no problem for Deb!She is a crafty one, our Debbie! She does tole painting, furniture restoration amongst other crafts. I wonder if she will be celebrating the Cabot 500 this summer. Hmm...
