Jennifer Wong
Hi, my name is Jenna Wong. I am a grade 12 student at Evan
Hardy Collegiate in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. I am involved in
soccer and rugby. Other activities that I enjoy are karate-do
(orange belt), reading, particularily V.C. Andrews, and just
hanging out with my friends. I have younger sister; Jade, and a
younger brother named Jordan. I also have a toy poodle named
Cookie.
My plans for the future include attending the University of
Saskatchewan, hopefully in the College of Engineering. I am one of
the youth journalists participating in the World Conservation
Congress held in Montreal. How I got involved in this program is
somewhat out of the ordinary. I, for reasons unknown, was chosen
by some of my teachers to be a candidate to represent my school.
Nine other students from other highschools in Saskatoon were
chosen. They narrowed it down to me through processes of
interviews, awriting assignment, and oral presentations. So far,
this has been a worthwhile experience, permitting me to meet new
people from all over Canada, and enabling me to contribute and
learn new aspects on conserving our environment.
