How to get fired: A true story
This is a story about one of our staff members, who, to protect her dignity, will remain anonymous.
Lola was a typical teenager: an average student, with good looks and an above average interest in partying and having a good time with friends. Like most teens, she was also interested in securing a part time job so she could afford the latest fashions. One Thursday, she got the call. She had applied to work at the Orange Julius fast food counter at the nearby mall and she had got the job. She started Friday, the very next day. Then, she was scheduled to work on Saturday. But there was a slight scheduling conflict: there was a party Saturday night that Lola just had to attend. So, wily girl that she was, she called in sick to her new job. Later that night, as she was waiting for the bus, she couldn't wait to get to the party and start having some fun. She met up with her friend Claudine and everything was great except for when she ran into her new boss at the party. Lola was fired the next day.
