A Kemptville Experience

My name is Kristina and I live in Powell River on the coast of B.C. In the summer of 1998 I went to Kemptville. I read the listserve e-mails when they come and try to keep up to date on what Students Commission is doing out there but because it takes 5 hours to travel to Vancouver (where the other Students Commission people are in B.C.) and because of my busy schedule I'm not doing much for SR2000, even though I wish I was. This afternoon I was cleaning my room and found all my stuff from Kemptville including my warm fuzzies (the notes everyone wrote just before we all left). I must admit I don't remember everyone's names but I for sure remember everyone faces, Kemptville was the best thing that happened to me that year. I had, had a rough year at school etc.. and then to go to Kemptville and be able to meet new people, new faces and be who I am... well WOW!!! When I went to Kemptville I was the youngest person there (I had just turned 13) and I just want to let you know how much I looked up to all you people. I wanted to be like every single one of you, not afraid to say what they think AND act on it too. GOOD WORK EVERYONE AND KEEP IT UP!!!
