TEAM 4 Youth should help youth work with or in the community. People with life experiences should work with the kids. People should be seen as individuals, not as numbers. · We recommend that youth raise money in their own communities through local businesses and fundraising for the well being and education required for youth to be successful. This can be done by fundraising at local businesses such as Sears, Zellers, Canadian Tire, etc., and organizing car washes, bake sales, and garage/rummage sales.
TEAM 5 Children have a right to have a voice, to speak their minds, to get help, to be empowered, to dream, and to succeed. · We recommend that youth put their faith in adults and that adults put their faith in youth.
TEAM 6 We must invest in today's youth for a better tomorrow. We should put our knowledge about child poverty to use. Youth should have a huge voice and participate actively in the community. · We recommend that there be more conferences, demonstrations, and youth organizations that will combat the issue of child poverty.
