TERRY DAVID MULLIGAN by Anonymous
CBC Radio's Gold Rush has panned out for Terry David Mulligan. He's beginning his fifth season as host of the rock music program The Great Canadian Gold Rush on CBC Radio, and he's still excited about what he's doing. A relaxed, easy-going format allows him the freedom to cover the rock music scene more deeply than regular disc shows ever do.
An actor and long-time radio-TV host and moderator, Terry wants to reach rock music fans who are interested in getting behind the scenes. Studio sessions, recorded concerts from around the world and interviews with musicians, managers and hit-makers are all part of what happens every week on Gold Rush and Terry loves it!
After high school, Terry served a four-year stint with the RCMP before getting into the music business, spinning discs in radio stations in Calgary, Regina, Vancouver and Toronto. He moved to television in 1968 - as an actor/comedian, hosting programs on CBC and CTV television. You've probably seen and heard Terry in commercials on radio and television, too.
Now, Terry David Mulligan is happy living in Vancouver, raising miniature beagles and keeping fit. A self-confessed sports nut, he loves fly-fishing, riding, golf, swimming, biking and sailing, and he loves his work!
Catch Terry on your local CBC Radio station on The Great Canadian Gold Rush Monday nights at 8:30 (in most areas).
