I sit by the window,
thinking of the past.
I remember the days of happiness,
Now time has brought sadness.

I see your face in sunsets,
as it leaves me.
Just as you had to leave.
You left for a better place.

Tears of heartache,
roll down my face.
As I remember you,
as the mother I will always know.

You were there for me,
for a few years.
Now you are still there,
only just in spirit.

I miss you ever so much.
I need you now more than ever.
Your love will be with me,
always and forever.
