Never to Awake Again
By Crystal McHardy, Karen Bults and Laura

So many people killed,
What will our world gain?
Alone sleeping like a child,
Never to awake again.
In silence she sleeps
Dreaming away her fears,
Showing gestures of peace.
Hiding her lonesome tears.
She lies there sighing
with her eyes closed shut tight.
Someone near is dying,
She cannot stand the sight.
Not knowing what death meant,
Her heart is filled with pain.
She's so young and innocent,
Never to awake again.
