APEC Energy Week
August 23-27, 1997, Edmonton, Alberta (Canada)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

APEC Energy Week kicked off its program with a Youth Seminar focusing on employment prospects in the energy sector. It was organized in collaboration with the University of Alberta, the Alberta Institute of Technology and the Grant MacEwan Institute. Eight young Canadians then set out to create a report which reflected both their environmental and employment concerns. They presented their findings to the Ministers in a Minister-Industry dialogue session and the Ministerial Plenary.

Another 12 young Canadians began work on an energy chapter for the APEC Electronic Source Book that highlights work, study and exchange opportunities in the Asia Pacific region.

Why not follow along virtually and learn about energy issues that affect all of us whether we live in Laos or Canada?
