What About Me?

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to climb Mt. Fuji in Japan, trek through the Himalayan Mountains of Nepal, snorkel off the coast of the Gili Islands in Indonesia, eat spicy and exotic foods? You could do this and get paid for it by working and living overseas...in Asia!

If you can't get job in your own community...why not go somewhere else. There are many jobs in Asia because the economy is booming. For example, the Canadian government and the governments in several Asian countries have established a Working Holiday Programme to provide young Canadians with an opportunity to travel and learn about other cultures while gaining international work experience. Some work, volunteer and exchange programmes may even pay for some of your costs, like your airfare there and back. Young Asians can also take these opportunities to come to work in Canada.

Even if you don't want to travel and work in Asia, lots of young people are finding ways to continue there education in Asia.

And...if and when you decided to return to Canada from your adventures in Asia, not only would you have lots of cool photos, souvenirs and stories to share with your family and friends, you would also have a better chance of getting a job with all of your international experience. Maybe you would even be able to start your own business! The possibilities are limitless!!
