Access to people who would be affected by this change

One of the best ways to get honest answers from research subjects is to have a "peer" asking the questions. This means trying to get members from the community you wish to research involved in the development of the research project from start to finish.

By contacting Youth Serving Organizations that were already interested in the project, the LYSM Project team was able to disseminate their call for research participants. Also, being members of the community they were researching allowed them to ask their friends and family to participate.
