The Students Commission is a charitable organization dedicated to creating and promoting opportunities for young people to learn and grow in a positive and safe environment. Young people from all backgrounds, working in partnership with supportive adults hone their skills by getting involved with any of the mulitple projects and programs that we as an organization and all of our partners are working on. We believe that all young people have endless potential and encourage them to use it to the best of their abilities, by engaging them on issues that concern them, no matter where they are coming from. It is the belief of this organization that engaging young people in an effective and meaningful way creates resiliency, in turn building community and citizenship.

Leave Out ViolencE (LOVE) is a leading Canadian youth violence prevention organization. At-risk youth who have lived with violence - as perpetrators, victims or witnesses - learn to reject violence in their lives.
Through education and support, at-risk youth begin to understand the destructive impact of violence in their own lives and society as a whole.
Determined to do something about it, they join an expanding team of Youth Leaders leading a national movement to reduce violence in youth culture and in our communities.
Springboard is a multi-faceted, community-based, Social Service Agency.
They have worked extensively within the Criminal Justice & Social Services System and our community for over 30 years.
Through their 15 locations in Ontario, Springboard helps thousands of youth and adults.
Springboard's main mission is designing and providing services & programs that encourage and develop law-abiding behaviour.
Toronto Child Abuse Centre offers prevention, assessment, and treatment programs for children and youth who are at risk of or who have experienced violence. Currently, the Centre is working closely with Toronto Police Service's PEACE initiative to respond to the problem of guns and gang violence in the City of Toronto. Toronto Child Abuse Centre also works with both the Toronto District School Board and the Toronto Catholic District School Board to deliver primary prevention programs for children and youth designed to teach skills to reduce vulnerability and promote healthy, positive relationships.
Breaking the Cycle is all about helping young people avoid getting involved in gangs or getting out of gangs if they are already involved. Breaking the Cycle builds on the leadership potential of youth and involves them in community awareness efforts. Through speaking engagements and development projects, youth reach out to youth to reduce the risk of gang involvement and develop a positive image of youth in the community.
Conflict Mediation Services of Downsview (CMS-D) is a not-for-profit charitable organization that helps people in families, workplaces, schools and neighborhoods understand and resolve conflict. CMS-D is committed to restorative justice and the peaceful resolution of conflict in order to reduce violence and crime, and build healthy and safe communities.
East Metro Youth Services (EMYS) is a community based children's mental health center, accredited by Children's Mental Health Ontario, which has been serving young people and their families in the East Toronto community for over thirty years. We are regulated by, and adhere to the spirit of Bill 77, The Child and Family Services Act.Our staff works in partnership with families schools, and other health professionals to help young people achieve their personal best. We provide a range of prevention, assessment and diagnostic services, as well as counseling, day treatment, transitional support and residential services.
Central Toronto Youth Services (CTYS) is a community-based accredited children’s mental health center located in downtown Toronto. Since 1973, CTYS has focused on meeting the needs of the hardest to serve clients. We give youth a chance to recreate their lives in an environment where they are challenged and empowered. CTYS was one of the first centers of its kind in Ontario, focusing specifically on the psychosocial needs of children and youth.

The Argos Foundation - Stop the Violence
Stop the Violence is a community-wide response to the violence that has rocked our city. Encouraging grassroots support, business sponsorship and the active participation of communities, schools and government, “Stop the Violence” focuses on a clear set of goals: to unify a shaken city, to respond to the violence with constructive actions and to strengthen the city’s resolve.
