Sample Meeting Agendas

Click below to view, print or download sample meeting agendas. These are based on the pilot test meetings which were run in Toronto in the Fall of 2011. Feel free to use these as a guide, and to modify them for your own site and group.

Meeting 1

Introduction to project and initial discussion of personal examples of violence in young people's lives.

Starting to look at issues of violence in young people's lives and how they are different for young women and young men (informal gender analysis).

Meeting 3

Presentation of Young Decision Makers Model and how it helps guide the Blueprint project.

Meeting 4

Starting to categorize issues of violence and reflect on the impact of violence on individuals.

Meeting 5

Discussing results of issues and informal surveys in schools by participants.

Meeting 6

Continuing discussion of violence in young women's lives, exploring gender differences. Beginning to look at developing communication tools using music, art,and spoken word. Summary of discussions via drawings, rather than words.

Meeting 7

Continuing to develop communication tools. Summary of discussions via drawings, rather than words.

Meeting 8

Hands on creation of art, photos, and spoken word recording.

Meeting 9

Presentation and discussion of Montreal Massacre, Dec 6 1989.

Meeting 10

Discussion of how to take action on issues of violence in young women's lives. Creation of group action plan.
