Webchats are free-flowing discussions between many
Internet locations. For the Rescue Mission chat, we had
over 26 participant sites engaging in many conversations related
to the environment and Rescue Mission. Participants are
thus free to pursue and respond to any point or question that
interests them. However, that means that several conversations are
occurring simultaneously and responses to one conversation may
seem out of place and appear unrelated to another conversation. In
order for non-participants to easily follow each separate
conversation in the enviro-chat, the webchat has been reorganized
and packaged according to threads and subjects. In doing this, the
times of each entry may appear out of order, and the dynamic
nature of the chat may not be as evident.
