Moving Forward Together

Youth initiate change through meaningful involvement in their community

Youth from Kugluktuk traveled to Toronto to share there knowledge and understanding of the challenges they face in their community. While in Toronto they met with their project partner, The Student Commission, and took part in training. The journey helped inform everyone of the issues both youth and adults face in remote northern communities. The Focus 3 partners – The Students Commission in Toronto, Grizzlies youth and the Kitikmeot Board of Education in Kugluktuk – are building connections through open dialogue to encourage others in the community to get involved.
