1997- What an amazing opportunity for youth to learn more about Asia Pacific . We are here to show you how you can do just that!

The Asia PacificYouth Coordination Team, as part of TG Magazine and the Students Commission, will be organizing events across Canada to promote understanding between youth in Canada and in the rest of Asia Pacific.

The Youth Coordinators in the group will be working with various government ministries to help plan and develop the youth participation in their ministerials. These youth components will ensure that youth play an active role in Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).

Those of us with Youth Internship positions will be working to ensure that youth everywhere can partake in the Asia Connects Conference (September 29-October 5, 1997). There will be up to twelve conferences happening at the same time using live webchats, video conferencing, and e-mail. Virtually you will be there!

We have the active support of the Federal government and various private-sector and non-governmental organizations, including Bell Canada, Media Links, Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, and UNICEF.

You are invited to participate and become part of our team. For more information e-mail us at www. tgmag.ca.
